Annual Spring Workshop of the Air-Microfluidics Group

Towards Air-Microfluidic Lab-on-a-chip

Friday April 5th, 2019

University of Illinois at Chicago
Engineering Research Facility Building (ERF) 1043

Air-Microfluidics is a new multidisciplinary field encompassing microfluidic circuits that use gas as opposed to liquid as the working fluid. Air-microfluidic lab-on-a-chip devices can be used as inexpensive yet reliable methods for detecting the presence of harmful contaminants and gasses in the air. Applications include portable particulate matter monitors, portable methane detectors, airborne bio-aerosol and pathogen sensors, environmental monitoring, and healthcare diagnostics.

Attendance to the workshop is free. To register, please email
